We are pleased to announce that our tumor documentation system, ONKOSTAR, has successfully received the certificate of conformity for OncoBox Lung.
The verification of ONKOSTAR was conducted in close collaboration with our pilot centers, the Lung Cancer Center at Oldenburg Pius Hospital and the Cantonal Hospital in Winterthur.
Ms. Wedeken from Pius Hospital describes the collaboration as follows: “Implementing the OncoBox Lung pilot project togehter has been, and still is, an incredibly exciting experience. The valuable and constructive exchange is not only a great enrichment, but also an essential foundation for successful verification.“
The OncoBox supports cancer centres certified by the German Cancer Society (DKG) in calculating certification-relevant data, thereby making a substantial contribution to quality assurance in oncology.
Our colleague Fabienne Streisel, who has been closely involved in the process on our side, emphasizes the significance of this milestone:
“By successfully completing the verification, we can make a significant contribution to a reliable and precise solution for tumor documentation. It was great to see how our collaboration with the pilot centers led to this important milestone.”
In addition to OncoBox Lung, ONKOSTAR has already been successfully verified for OncoBox Breast, OncoBox Colon, and OncoBox Prostate. This allows us to offer comprehensive support for quality-assured documentation in several organ cancer centers.
We sincerely thank all participants for their support!
